Gay has been teaching music in the Elgin area for the last 25 years. She is a graduate of Judson University (when it was a college). She is also the accompanist for St. Paul’s United Church of Christ and works for School District U-46 as a substitute teacher. On Tuesdays, you will find her at the Highland Avenue Church of the Brethren teaching voice, piano, and Shakespeare for the G.I.F.T. home school cooperative. She and her husband have seven children and (almost) eight grandchildren. One of their sons is on the Autism Spectrum.
